The Mercato delle Gaite is one of Europe's most famous medieval events, transforming the town of Bevagna into a living medieval marketplace. The event brings history to life as the town’s four historical quarters, or gaite, compete in traditional trades, gastronomy, and market recreations. Visitors can explore medieval streets filled with artisans demonstrating ancient crafts. The competition extends to the four taverns, where participants can taste authentic medieval dishes prepared using historical recipes.
For this year’s event, we introduced an AR experience to deepen immersion.s. I designed medieval outfits, allowing visitors to see themselves in historical attire and feel even more connected to the experience. Each outfit was 3D modeled and sculpted in Blender, textured in Substance Painter, to be implemented using ZapWorks for an interactive and engaging experience.
